Contemporary Instrumental New Age music is broadly defined as soothing, often meditative music without vocal accompaniment. Instrumentation ranges from the sounds of the Modern Mandolin Quartet to John Tesh's sweeping pop keyboards, to Mannheim Steamroller's orchestral synths.
