William Shatner used his Star Trek clout to cut this "Method Actor goes Beatnik Poet goes Method Belter" quasi-classic. The whole thing isn't as great as the legend that surrounds it but Shatner's reading of "Mr. Tambourine Man" alone makes it all worthwhile (and it questions the "genius" of rock lyrics as much as Bill's enthusiasm for the theatrical gesture).
