Tears for Fears
Formatosi nel 1981 a Bath in Inghilterra, il duo sinth-pop Tears for Fears era costituito da Roland Orzabal (voce e chitarra) e Curt Smith (voce e basso). L'album di debutto "The Hurting" fu un trionfo in Gran Bretagna ed il successivo "Songs From the Big Chair" del 1985 divenne un successo internazionale grazie soprattutto ai singoli "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" e "Shout". Subito dopo il terzo lavoro "The Seeds of Love", influenzato fortemente dal jazz e dalla psichedelia, Curt Smith abbandonò il gruppo che continuò come progetto solista di Roland Orzabal.
