Talented but controversial, Sizzla has appealed to Jamaican youth with his political lyrics and incensed many others. Sizzla's "Black Woman and Child" is considered part of the renaissance of cultural reggae. Sizzla's given name is Miguel Collins. He was born to devout Rastafarian parents. Sizzla really broke out in 1997, when he released the album "Black Woman & Child," which was a No. 1 hit in Jamaica. Sizzla's part of the new rastas, who are known for their militancy and are associated with the priestly Bobo Shanti order.
