Sisters of Mercy
I Sister of Mercy nacquero nel 1980 a Leeds, Inghilterra. Noti come gothic band leader negli anni 80 nel genere gotico per il loro lento sound dark metal, i SOM registrarono il loro primo singolo con una drum machine. Nel 1985 fu pubblicato l’LP “First and Last and Always”. Due anni dopo la band si sciolse e nacque il gruppo dei Mission. Nonostante i continui cambiamenti dei membri della band, i Sister pubblicarono ancora “Vision Thing” (1990) e, più recentemente, “A Slight Case of Overbombing”, un greatest hits vol. 1. Oggi i SOM sono ancora un gruppo gotico sotto i riflettori.
