He also assembled the Juice Crew, which included Kool G Rap, MC Shan, Biz Markie, Roxanne Shante, Masta Ace, and Craig G.
Marl was largely responsible for the success of the legendary label Cold Chillin' Records.
Some of his more famous tracks include "The Bridge," "Vapers," "The Symphony," "Poison," and "Roxanne's Revenge."
In the early '90s, Marl hooked up with Lords of the Underground and produced their classic debut.
