This now-legendary Bay Area Punk band gained a rabidly loyal following throughout the early and mid-1990s. Jawbreaker never fit neatly into any Punk sub-genre. They're uniquely rough yet melodic and irresistibly catchy. In 1995 Jawbreaker signed to DGC Records. They broke up shortly after their major debut, Dear You, was released. When Jawbreaker formed in 1988, two members of the three-piece would travel from New York to L.A. to rehearse and record. Jawbreaker remains as popular now (if not more so) as they were when they broke up in 1995.
