As one of the original directors of the early '80s House movement, Farley Jackmaster Funk helped to introduce House to the mainstream with his radio show on Chicago's WBMX. A globe-trotting DJ who made short-lived forays into R&B and rap, Farley peaked as a producer in 1986 with his classic 12" track "Love Can't Turn Around" -- which climbed to the U.K.'s Top 10 Pop charts that year. With its hip-hop oriented grooves, Farley's crowd-pleasing sound features urbanized boy-girl vocals over bouncy Electro rhythms. A highlight in the history of House.
