Iglesias passed the test in 2001. Not only did he craft a perfect pop album (10 songs, self-penned!), he also provided an anthem to the United States after September 11: the song "Hero." "One Night Stand" and "Escape" are reminiscent of Cher's new club image, and that hint of a Spanish accent and the laser-light-friendly melodies make Iglesias a bona fide heartthrob.
