Damian Marley
The youngest Marley treads the line between conscious lyricism and party-friendly frills with grace and aplomb.
Damian Marley was born in 1978. His mother was Jamaica's former Miss World, Cindy Breakspeare.
Marley formed his first band with future Third World member Cat Coore.
He named 2001's "Halfway Tree" after himself, halfway between his father's ghetto roots and his mother's uptown roots.
Marley's 2005 release "Welcome To Jamrock" made use of Jamaica's ghetto nickname -- Jamrock.
