Child star Gilman sings R&B touched new country with a pre-pubescent voice. His vocal range towers over that of most women. With the support of his parents, Gilman was singing professionally at seven. He was only 11 when he landed his first single. Gilman's childish voice hit huge in the early 2000's, but his career was killed by every child star's worst enemy: puberty. Billy Gilman's 2005 album, "Everything and More," bombed because he recorded it at the age of 17 after his voice had changed.
