Bill Hicks' often confrontational comedy focused on the double-edged sword of politics -- American politics in particular. Hicks performed his first comedy routine at age 13 at a church camp talent show. Bill Hicks often referred to TV as "Lucifer's dream box" and claimed "The Simpsons" was the only show worth watching. Dedications to Bill Hicks can be found on albums by Radiohead, Super Furry Animals, Tool and Rage A.T.M. among others. Sadly, Bill Hicks died of cancer on February 26, 1994.
