Avril Lavigne is being sued by ’70s band The Rubinoos over allegations that her hit single “Girlfriend” bears too close of a resemblance to their 1979 track “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend.” More than one million “Wannabe” fanatics have signed up for the Spice Girls reunion tour ticket lottery just a week after the group announced their reformation. Disney Channel creation Hannah Montana (a.k.a. Billy Ray Cyrus’ daughter Miley) has outsold Kelly Clarkson by 35,000 copies in the first week of their respective sales. Pink says she’d like to write with Amy Winehouse (who characteristically cancelled a gig in England last night after being hospitalized for unknown reasons), but isn’t too keen on the idea of working with Britney Spears. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced a handful of shows in support of their upcoming Is Is EP. Tour dates after the jump.
