Ann Peebles
Ann Peebles ("I'm Gonna Hit Your Playhouse Down", "I Can't Stand the Rain", "You Keep Me Hanging On") è nata nel 1947 a St. Louis ed è stata una delle migliori cantanti di R&B degli anni '70. È stata scoperta a 21 anni dal trombettista Gene Miller e dal produttore della Hi Records Mitchell. Quest'ultimo ha scritto numerose canzoni su misura per la Peebles insieme a Don Bryant, che la cantante ha sposato nel 1974. Dopo aver messo su famiglia, nel 1977 la Peebles si prende una pausa dal music business, ma nel 1996 torna con "Fill this World with Love".
